On page 34 it says how he said he died of murder. How can he write about the way he died in his will.
I don't understand the point or purpose of the clues. They make up most of the song, and they point to Crow, which represents Westing's Queen sacrifice. But what is their purpose as clues?
What or how were the cast suppose to use this to deduce that Sam Westing had 4 identities? It seems unfair if these clues were called clues but lead nowhere. It could've arbitrarily been clues to anything if they weren't to be used.

In mystery novels, these are called 'red herrings.' They misdirect people into thinking the wrong person is the killer. Sam Westing wanted to win his own game, so he had the 'clues' point to the wrong person. Only by following actual clues, not the misleading hints he left, could the mystery be solved.

I don't have the book in front of me, but there was something about the four winds. They knew three of his identities already; all they had to do was notice the cardinal directions in each of them (as Turtle eventually did.)
